Introduction to Design for Manufacturing / Assembly (DFM/DFA) Training
At Quality-One, we understand today’s competitive environment and realize companies are often being required to produce more results with fewer resources available. Managers must monitor and justify every investment they make. Managers must also make every effort to ensure each product improvement, redesign or new product development project succeeds and produces measurable benefits. Management may see the upfront costs of training as a negative. However, lack of proper training will likely cost more in the end by a reduction in project effectiveness, increased errors, wasted time and more. Various research studies have revealed a close correlation between team member skills and a projects success. Our professional staff at Quality-One can provide the proper training resources you need to help ensure your projects succeed. Let Quality-One help match the type and level of training that fulfills your unique needs and meets your requirements. At Quality-One we offer three types of training:
Onsite Training
Onsite Design for Manufacturing and Assembly (DFM/DFA) Training is exactly as it sounds. When you select onsite DFMA Training, one or more of our experienced, highly-skilled Subject Matter Experts (SME) will come to your facility and provide DFM/A Training. This method of training is often more convenient for scheduling and can provide additional value by enabling your personnel to participate in the training together, as a team. Onsite DFM/DFA Training has proven to be a cost effective option for organizations that have more than five team members that require training. The expenses are generally less compared to having the entire team travel. Onsite training can provide a positive impact on the success of your DFM/DFA implementation process.
Offsite Training
At Quality-One, we have Technical Training Centers available for Offsite DFM/DFA Training in several convenient locations. Our training facilities provide participants a chance to escape from the distractions and interruptions of daily work activities. By reducing distractions, the offsite training option allows greater concentration on learning. In addition, the offsite environment allows for increased knowledge transfer and encourages participation. The offsite training experience will also provide opportunities for participants to share knowledge and experiences from various industries and backgrounds. Best practices from one industry are often shared to the benefit of another. This professional interaction tends to maintain interest and result in a more comprehensive understanding of Design for Manufacturing and Assembly. The offsite training option is most beneficial to companies with less than five associates that require a working knowledge of DFM/A methodology.
Online Training
The Quality-One DFM/DFA Online Overview includes interactive audio, video, animation and downloadable reference materials. The online module provides the participant a basic introduction to DFMA methodology. The online overview is ideal for someone new to DFM/A or for a subject matter review. The course is self-paced and provides immediate access to the DFM/DFA content. In addition, the information is available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. The participant will have 30 days to complete the course and may access it as often as desired.
